An absolute lifesaver. I actually ordered this to put under my cats' litter boxes, and it both looks polished and classy, AND is incredibly effective! FINALLY! Our floors are saved!!!

Although the design of these mats aren't necessarily my style, I will say, they work really well. The non-slip backing is very "sticky" and the mat stays in place well on wood floors. The material on the front/top size is sewn similar to a quilt and the pad has a small amount of padding. The intricate design does a very good job of hiding stains and dirt and water is spilled it doesn't leak thru, providing excellent protection for the flooring below. Over all the quality of these mats is high, they are thin, but keep their shape well. They are lightweight and easy to clean. The size works perfectly for my GSD's large food and water bowls and has enough extra space around the edges to catch drips and splashes. If you happen to have a pup that is a really sloppy drinker, you may need use one mat per bowl. This comes as a two mat set. Both mats are identical in size, shape and pattern. They are machine washable and hold up well to the washer. I choose to hang dry my mats, but then I do that with most of my delicate items to help keep their shape. I do like these cloth mats better than hard rubber or silicone mats. I find that water often gets trapped underneath the edges and that isn't an issue with these since they are absorbent on top. A good value for the price and they do a good job keeping the floor a bit cleaner from water drips, and crumbs from food contained.
